I made a few more changes to the script. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1055489/scripts/bashpodder.diff The config file is now generated on first run. It's also sourced from the bash script so grep doesn't need to be called from sub shells for each variable.
I also set it to be able to limit the download speed of each feed as well as limit the number of feeds that will download at the same time. I replaced some sed & cut commands with bash parameter substitution as it's slightly faster. Not much but measurable.
I also added the ability to set individual feeds to "catchup mode" indefinitely, so you can take a break from a feed but keep it's log up to date. Just add a "1" to the front of a feed address in .bashpodder like this
1http://revision3.com/bytejacker/feed/Xvid-Large
I posted just the diff file so you can better see what changes I made. That way you can more easily pick what you do and do not want to use.

I hope it's clear enough from my slightly inadequate description combined with the diff file I linked to. Let me know if it sounds too insane!

Awesome - I tested out your additions and liked them so much that I have added them to my version as well :-)
The download now includes the '-a' option to add feeds and also no longer has to temporarily create the xslt file

Nice work! The only problems I had with the previous versions were minor and you fixed them with this version. I never thought of putting the configuration into the podcast file like that. I like it! I immediately changed my script to match! I did have a couple additions to the script, though. One to add a function to add a new feed to ~/.bashpodder and a small change to the xsl function. I don't know how well the comment box handles code so I put it on pastebin. http://www.pastebin.com/f624b4f9f

I migrated hosts recently and lost the old file - but I have fixed up the link to my current version.
It is mostly the same but now configuration is in ~/.bashpodder and in that file you can specify where you want to download to

The links for downloading your version of Bashpodder don't seem to work. I did download it once several days ago but didn't keep the original when I made some modifications. I can't believe I forgot to do that.

Possibly, but it would take a bit of re-working in mtpfs (and I don't have a mtp-based device anymore to even test with - let alone a dual-memory device)

I'd like to ask you a question - I have a SE C902 mobile and when i mount it with mtpfs then both the phone memory and phone card memory folders are in the same place. Is there any way i can separate them? Thanks in advance.
